TATIANA ALEKSA,
President and CEO
Ever since her first financial venture, Golden Niva Corp.
(founded in 1992), Ms. Aleksa has been a highly successful
entrepreneur. She served as CFO and Vice-president of Golden
Niva before successfully selling her interest in the international
operation.
In 1995, together with a few partners,
recent Wharton Business School graduates, Ms. Aleksa launched
Octet Media L.L.C, first as an Internet Service Provider.
In mid-90s Octet was one of the first providers of Internet
access and Internet-based development to New York-based
companies and the ultimate Russian American ISP, which popularized
the Internet to Russian community like no other company
before or after it.
In 1996, Ms. Aleksa became company's
General Manager and its only proprietor. Her first step
as the single owner was to concentrate on Octet new core
competence - development of Internet-based solutions.
In 1997, Ms. Aleksa was among the
founders of a popular e-zine, Russian Web Girls.Com, a high-profile
non-for-profit organization and the most popular Russian
women club on the Web. Just a month after the first issue
was published, the site has got more than a million hits
per month.
In 1998, Ms. Aleksa founded Octet Media
sister-company Octet Communications Corp. - an integrated
telecommunications firm serving overseas Internet and Voice
service providers. Part of this corporation was publicly
sold a few months after the launch.
Ms. Aleksa's work has been featured in
such prominent publications as The New York Times - Cyber
Times, Daily News, PC Week, Time Out New York, The Village
Voice, and Silicon Alley Reporter.
Ms. Aleksa holds MS in Finance from Moscow
Finance Akademy and MD from First Moscow Medical Institute.

SHOIFOT,
Director of Sales and Marketing
Mr. Shoifot's experience includes Internet marketing, direct
mail, insurance, computer hardware and book sales, translation
services and military.
Mr. Shoifot's diverse sales and marketing experience allows
him to better understand our customers' unique needs. Prior
to joining Octet he founded and co-owned a translation services
company in New York City, worked as a marketing consultant
at Plymouth Rock Corp. in Boston, and developed countrywide
sales networks as a head of marketing and sales departments
at Unieksport and Nachala Press companies in Moscow and
Saint-Petersburg, Russia. Mr. Shoifot has MA from Central
European University in Budapest, Ph.D. from Russian Academy
of Sciences, and MBA from Boston University.
