Former Executive of First Data Corporation Joins Octet as Executive Vice President.
January 29, 2001 Octet Corp announced that it has selected Ashraf Ebid, formerly First Data Corp's Vice President of sales in its joint venture with PNC bank, as Octet's new Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. While at First Data, Ebid, 39, headed its sales effort at PNC Merchant Services, one of FDC's most successful regional partnerships and achieved 125% of revenue goal and 124% of actual dollar volume goal, in FY 2000. Ebid is responsible for Octet's marketing strategy and implementation of sales processes, business development and business re-engineering. "Octet's main objective is to develop a marketing team utilizing a personalized approach to our clients' needs in order to achieve the greatest level of customer satisfaction," said Ebid. In addition, Octet announced that Elliott Loevsky joined its Technology Team as Senior Project Coordinator. Before joining Octet, Loevsky, served as Chief Technology Officer at 10x10.com and Microsoft Corporation as a System Engineer. Loevsky brings a wealth of management and strategic-planning skills gained in 10x10.com as well as technical and system administration skills experienced in Microsoft Corporation. Loevsky is responsible for the management and coordination of projects, supervision of progress and productive collaboration between Octet's clients and development team.
